Dimensional Tile
ModCraft three dimensional wall tile are made of porcelain clay and high-fired for exceptional durability. The dimensionality of the tile creates a unique wall surface expression in such areas as feature walls, kitchen back splashes, bathroom shower and bath tile, fireplace surrounds, and all over wall tile. ModCraft’s ever expanding line of dimensional wall tile offer stunning applications for residential as well as retail and hospitality applications. All tile styles shown are available in all the glaze colors we offer as well as custom glazes.
Reminiscent of the curves of the Hudson river, our 4" x 10" “Hudson” modern tile creates mesmerizing effects when placed over larger surfaces. Strikingly different effects when placed either horizontally or vertically. A beautiful choice for feature walls or accent tile. ModCraft's latest dimensional tile design SlopeStyle was inspired by the Olympic sport of the same name. A six inch square tile, when laid in mirrored pattern, SlopeStyle creates a pleasing smooth, slightly concave slope that runs the width of the two tiles and is accentuated by hard, steep edges on each end. These edges further slant inward creating a very distinctive dimensional design.
Another recent addition to our dimensional wall tile line at ModCraft is Hexaline: a subtle dimensional take on the classic hexagon theme in tiling. Hexaline is a porcelain 6" hexagon shaped tile that shows the breaks and pooling of various glazes in the grooves and raised lines of the surface.
The slightly pitched surfaces give an enhanced sense of dimension. Pair these with our flat handmade hexagon shaped field tile and find yourself weaving dimension and pattern together in your surface.
Our new dimensional tile concept, Flight, is actually made up of two tiles: Flight Field and Flight Path. Both are 6" x 12" tiles designed to work apart or together. The configuration is up to the designer.
Flight Field is a relatively flat dimensional tile with low profile ridges that break the surface up into smaller areas. These ridges create breaks on the glaze and allow it to pool on either side of the break to pool and swirl in its melt.
Flight Path starts with the same ridge profile then rises upward and widens. This creates a very modern dynamic for feature wall surfaces allowing dramatic shadows and glaze effects.
Both of these tiles can be used separately or together in any configuration imaginable, horizontally or vertically.
InterLock is a larger modern ModCraft tile measuring at 4" x 12" - it can be laid out all in one direction or in opposite directions to create a more complicated pattern. Likewise, it can be placed vertically or horizontally for distinctly different effects - any way you place it creates a captivating visual field.
Dimensional 3" x 9" porcelain MaryLine tile works beautifully alone or patterned with traditional subway tile. Try applying it horizontally or vertically for strikingly different looks. Glaze pools in the grooves and breaks over edges of the tile. This effect becomes wonderfully more evident with our new transparent glazes. Used vertically or horizontally, stacked or staggered, MaryLine 3" x 9" will be a focus surface of any room without overpowering it.

"Roundhouse” - is named after the stunning Roundhouse at Beacon Falls - a Rockwell Group designed restaurant, boutique hotel, wedding & event space, that recently opened here in our hometown of Beacon, NY, 60 miles north of New York City in the Hudson Valley.
The owner of Roundhouse, Bob McAlpine, had the vision to see that this modern tile style would be a perfect match for his hospitality suites. Roundhouse tile is made of durable Porcelain clay, available in 16 colors and measures 3 x 12 inches. It has a slight dimensionality whereby it raises slightly at each corner giving it a concave shape and creating an overall dynamic pattern when installed. The tile is also widest at the center and tapers just slightly toward the ends. Here Roundhouse is shown in our new glaze Stannic - an elegant dark chrome finish with oxidized metal highlights and iridescent greens/blues appearing on some edges. A very rich combination of effects, tones and reflections.
